Leigh, Thanks for your reply, I kind of know the difference of these two commands, but in the sample configure, which just uses the 'ip forward protocol' without any parameter, does it just by default enables forwarding those 8 ports too? I was confused by its using the 'ip forward protocol' without paratmeter with 'ip hleper-address' together, what is the point of this? Do they just enable the same ports? As this is from the CD, I think it should have some meanings, maybe not, I just want to get some comments on my doubts.
