Raphael,

I just asked one of the guys in my group that is testing all of Cisco's
Wireless (Aironet) equipment. He said that as long as the Airport hub is
802.11 DSSS compliant it should work. I see that you did already read that
the AirPort is 802.11 so I would think you will be good to go.

Hope this helps.

Subject: Wireless

Hi all,
I'm thinking about getting a IMAC for my mother, I want to get the Apple
AirPort wireless link for it.
My question is, will the AirPort wireless link work with some other
company's wireless?

I was reading that the Apple's AirPort uses the 802.11 DSSS standard. I
also have a IBM laptop that I would like to use the wireless, but I bet that
the Apple PCMCIA card will not work in a PC, So what I want to do is get
Cisco's Aironet's PCMCIA card (won't it be cool having a IBM laptop with a
big Cisco card sticking out of it sitting on the lawn browsing the net? with
NO cables???) to access the apple hub.

Anyone know?

Also, are there any Apple geeks (hehe) here? I have a few questions...
email me.
