Sam,

I think the 2948G runs the same OS as the Cat5K. You could use this layer 3
switch in place of a Cat5K for the switching requirement on the exams. I
think it even does ATM.

Guys and gals:

Finally building a lab of sorts and I was wondering what switch I would need
for the CCNP.  Cat 5k or ?  Multiple switches to set vlans connected via
routers?

I would like to be able to use it for the CCNP as well as practicing real
world sceararios.

What would you suggest?
