True, 10Mb ports don't do trunking at all.

Not supported on older 4Mb RAM 2900XLs, but works on newer 8Mb ones,
if your router port is 100Mb or 10/100TX.

The "Plus" images have ISL/VLAN support, and also routed NAT. It
started around an 11.2T release as best as I recall. Somewhere around
12.x they included dot1q.
