If you are fairly new with ATM, I'd suggest the CCNA WAN book (I think it's
chapter 20) which covers the basics & intermediates of ATM.  I think it's
the best write-up I've ever seen.  Studying this chapter (say for a week)
would give you enough knowledge to jump into the books you've listed.  For
the long haul, I've used the Global Knoledge course books.  They are full of
information, but again very dry (start with the WAN book)...
