Not true, if you have a friend with an EPROM programmer, you can blow a set 
of PROMs for up to ios 11.2 Enterprise (IIRC).  I've upgraded 4 IGSs to 
this, and they run just great.

You can get the imgaes from the ASD section of the software download site, 
but you'll need Enterprise access.
