Though I'm not certain on the actual pairs (I think
some one already specified the send and recieves) this
will work!  It is great for testing purposes (cheap
man's tool kit) We have used them in the past
(reversing the send and recieve) to test cable runs
and nics and so on. There is no harm in testing this
(it's like connecting up two PCs or ports to an
incorrectly terminated cable run.)
