Ive had umpteen more mails pointing out this nitpick, and so I should
point out I wasnt the first one to metion Swahili.
Anyhows. I know I shouldnt have taken the mickey but I was raised to
get amused and not get mad, and Id rather let off steam with humor than
have his ISP account terminated for sending unsolicited email/have a
stroke.
Now Im seriously interested, I cant be the only one getting mails like
this surely? Forgetting the book certs and search engine stuff, how
many other people have people emailing them privately with stuff like
this.
Basically Im annoyed because
a) Im out of the game for a bit while Im ill so Id really rather ignore
cisco stuff for a bit a de-stress, unless I choose to go looking for it,
and
b) Ive just had to have a word with various friends and family members
because every conversation openned with "Ah Lauren, Im glad Ive seen
you, how do I.....", hence I wasnt much pleased to still be getting this
from random strangers whove plucked my email address off usenet.
Spam I can deal with, it sticks out a mile and goes straight in the
recycle bin, but normal privmail you have to churn through to see
whether its relevant or not.
Does anyone else get this or is it just because Ive been helping lots of
people on the various forums previously? Is it just something that
happens when you get above CCNP? I dont remember getting this much
before Id done the specialisation.
