Never heard of the company, or that guy (never used AOL), but I don't think 
it is unrealistic to start from nothing and acheive CCNP in 6 months. It's 
only written tests... Anybody with enough time to read all of the exam crams 
and study guides for these exams can pass them.

Can that same person be of much use in a real production environment? 
Probably not. But I have seen people do this - many people. In fact, I would 
guess that probably one third of the existing CCNP's fall into this 
category.

This is not to say that CCNP is not a significant acheivement - it CERTAINLY 
IS significant. Nevertheless, it can be acheived in a relatively short 
period of time provided the right reading material and study time each day.
