Ah.  That is the packet drop variable in the RFC1149 Interface MIB. 
Perhaps it is also the place where the dropped IOS buffers go.

Now that it's after midnight, I am thankful I survived this Friday 
the 13th.  I'm not superstitious, but I've had to deal with IRS 
crises, the tail end of a cold, a banged-up knee, and a possible roof 
link.  Yet there are worse signals.

You could go out into the street, and watch as a bird fell dead in 
front of you the feathered corpse slapping to the sidewalk -- and 
your realizing, in shock, that it was the dreaed Omen Pigeon.

Even worse was the Foo Bird of certain remote Polynesian islands in 
which the birds could spray you with the foo secretion.  If you 
cleaned off thr e stickly foo sunstane you would intstantly die.  It 
became even more dangeroud when the ceteaceans devlopd thr lethAL FOO 
ABILITY where every seal could clealy foo,
