This happened to me a few times. In my case it was related to doing debugs.
Anytime I ran debugs - shortly after the PIX would stop processing packets.
Have you been running debugs. Could also be that you are sending too much
traffic through it - or have run out of memory. What is your traffic load
like and how much memory do you have - and how much is free. Check all this
when it is working as well as when it is not working and see if you see a
pattern.
