You'll need to be able to setup the 2511 for term server/console connections
to the LAB routers.

Look at the Cisco CCIE Routing Webpage and click the equipment list link to
see what they use in the CCIE Lab - that will probably answer some of your
questions about whether to replace or not.

It's true the modular routers will hold their value better, but so do the
multiport 2500's as so kindly pointed out when I asked for help on the
mailing list with my lab setup.
