Should have done that in the first email, here it is. Like I said, works on
all my other routers, just not on the ones running Version 12.0(3)T3.
Thanks.

It would help if you can include that motd banner in your next e-mail?

Ole

No, I am using the same config on all my routers, some of them display
it
and some display half. The ones that don't are using 12.0 or less, and
the
ones that do are running 12.1 or higher. I heard from someone that
there is
an IOS issue with banners in 12.0 or less if you use certain characters
or
combinations of characters. Definitely not repeating control
characters,
thanks for the response though.

Hi Lupi,

I used to have this problem all the time. It sounds like you are
repeating
the first character of the line, have way through your text.

When the router see's the first character again, it believes that it is
the
end of the line.

An example of the config:
!
banner motd stay out of my routers, you hear!
!

now what would show up upon login is the following:

stay out of my routers

User Access Verification:
Username:

Try using a capital Z at the beginning and at the end of the line, or
some
other rarely used capital letter:

!
banner motd Z stay out of my routers, you hear! Z
!

HTH,
Eric

I am having a problem with some routers, I am trying to put a banner
motd on
them, they take the whole thing in the config. But when you go to
login,
only half the banner shows up. Does anyone know of a way to make this
work?
Thanks.
