just looking at a quick test setup I did, I am jumping to the conclusion
that the BVI mac is that of any particular interface that 1) already has a
BIA, such as a TR or an E or an FE AND 2) is a member of the bridge group.
It may be that if there are multiple interfaces with BIA's, that the address
taken is that of the first interface placed into the bridge group.

I have not verified this on CCO.

example follows:

Ethernet0/0 is up, line protocol is up
Hardware is AmdP2, address is 0010.7bc7.3640 (bia 0010.7bc7.3640)

Ethernet0/1 is up, line protocol is up
Hardware is AmdP2, address is 0010.7bc7.3641 (bia 0010.7bc7.3641)

Ethernet0/2 is up, line protocol is up
Hardware is AmdP2, address is 0010.7bc7.3642 (bia 0010.7bc7.3642)

Ethernet0/3 is up, line protocol is up
Hardware is AmdP2, address is 0010.7bc7.3643 (bia 0010.7bc7.3643)

BVI1 is up, line protocol is up
Hardware is BVI, address is 0010.7bc7.3642 (bia 0000.0000.0000)

interface Ethernet0/1
 ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0
 no keepalive
 bridge-group 1
!
interface Ethernet0/2
 ip address 192.167.1.1 255.255.255.0
 no keepalive
 bridge-group 1

interface BVI1
 ip address 10.3.3.5 255.255.255.0

Thanks for the response!

My question has more to do with: if we didn't hardcode the MAC address
of a BVI, what address would it use? I speculate it would then use one
of the MAC addresses of a physical interface. I am trying to figure out
which interface would it choose, assuming that there are multiple
physical interfaces on the router that belongs to the same bridge group
as the BVI number.

Thanks.
