Are you sure you have a PIX 520?  I havent heard of a PIX 520 with less than
2MB of flash before.  Sounds like you might have a PIX Classic, NOT a PIX
520!

I made a similar mistake a couple years ago...I thought I had a PIX 520, but
it turned out to be a PIX Classic!  (Let's call it a learning experience)
