That explains why pretty much all the documents on Cisco refer to routers
using that. But of all the sample configs Ive seen for 2900 have the no ip
route-cache being used. I just wonder if you can use it on a 2900 switch
why include the command?

We use it on our 7200s here and it certainly does make a differance.
