We do it all over in our LSS service, (LAN Switching Service). Though
we no longer use 4700's, dead product, it works fine and these things
were bridging. Only time we had a very strange problem that has never
been resolved was a customer connect about 6 sites thru this fully
meshed service with a completely flat 5000 node network!! Finally
convinced them to put routers on the inside of these 4700 bridges.

If it's only for a lab then certainly go ahead.
