Do a "sh ver" and see what sort of OS is loaded. Then check out the Software Center on CCO for release notes and etc. I believe that you can update your OS on those switches to Enterprise gratis. Be sure to note how much DRAM you have. Older switches had 4MB, newer switches 8MB. Older switches are approx 14 inches front to back. Newer at about 10". All the above assumes that you have a 2900XL switch and not a 2901 or 2926.
