I still stand by my original convictions, which is that ipv6 will not be adopted en-masse by regular American enterprises until and unless it is economically justified to do so - and there is nothing unfortunate about this, that's just the way economics works (economics being the study of the allocation of scarce resources). In particular, ipv6 has to offer benefits that exceed the costs of implementing it, and at this time, in the US, it does not, except for niche applications. Things like auto-addressing, integrated encryption, etc. etc. are nice, but cheap work-arounds for these kinds of things have already been developed for ipv4. I think it is difficult to make the case that American enterprises should be spending resources on migrating to ipv6 when the benefits of doing so are not dramatic.
