Paul,  If it is a 2500 router you are looking to upgrade you can get the
bootprom's from Cisco for free.
When I was going for CCNP two years ago I bought 8 used 2501, 2502, 2503,
2504, 2522
& cisco sent me the chips for all of them for free.
