Bill, If you want to stay legit, email the seller and ask if it is a licensed EMI, most of them are not. One way to find out is to have them email you a show version, and if it was not originally licensed for EMI, the model number will reveal as SMI, even if the IOS was "upgraded". I don't know if this is the same if you buy the EMI upgrade legally. FYI - the 3550-12G or -12T series only come with EMI. HTH.
