Interestingly, just now I fixed a problem with a Sun Netra server that was set to autonegotiate. It was connected to a 6500 that was hard-set to 100/Full. Since manually setting the speed on a 6500 disables participation in autonegotiation, the server was choosing 100/Half instead of 100/Full.
Setting both sides to auto fixed the problem and I'm no longer seeing errors on the switch.
