Okay! I tested it, but I think something's botched up (that, or my typing and patch reading skills are just worthless). I get now sometimes an extra "a, a3, b, c, d, e or ff" letter right before some characters. And when copying and pasting both the <0xFFFF and >0xFFFF, I get this result: b\u5b57\u3002\u4f8b\u5982\uff1a\ud840\udc21\ud840\udc22\ud840\udc23\ud840\udc24 Perhaps I missed something in the patch, so I'll know for sure tonight with the CVS rotation.
