No, not for free. There are the free Japanese fonts sazanami-mincho.ttf and sazanami-gothic.ttf of course. But no variants of these with different levels of boldness. "gothic" is often used for "bold" in Japanese printing. >> I know in general mincho (~serif) and gothic (~sans-serif, maybe >> semi-bold) are available under for example OpenOffice. ? OpenOffice doesn't come with Japanese fonts but of course you can use any Japanese fonts you have installed with OpenOffice. > The Watanabe font don't have bold series. AFAIK, even Windows lacks > bold variants. On Windows Vista there is a new "Gothic" style Japanese font meiryo.ttc and a bolder version of the same font meiryob.ttc. > You have to buy something, I fear, then following the > standard procedures to install the font. -- Mike FABIAN <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://www.suse.de/~mfabian 睡眠不足はいい仕事の敵だ。 I Unicode _______________________________________________ Cjk maillist - [email protected] https://lists.ffii.org/mailman/listinfo/cjk
