Right. I got the happy message from you and Werner, and am reading the
documentation for CJK again now that I have some idea of what it all
means. I think that I can use TTF fonts from my Windows machine (at
least for testing), several of the EPSON gothic "bold" fonts are very
nice. I'm sorry for my own slowness in understanding the procedures
necessary to do what I want, so I'm going to be asking some dumb
questions on this list until it all works out.

OK. (I meant there are many fonts working under OO which I don't
yet have under LaTeX.)

The good news is that I get the idea that TTF fonts can be made to
work under LaTeX. Old hat to you experts but new to me I fear.
