This list contains all traditional characters which could be
represented with a simplified character, for example, all characters
having 言 on the left side. However, not all of these simplified
forms are in GB 2312. I did the following:
. Extract all simplified characters from your list-simp-char.tex
into file `list-simp-char.utf8'.
. Say
iconv -c -f utf-8 -t gb2312 \
< list-simp-char.utf8 \
> list-simp-char.gb2312
Option -c suppresses errors.
. Say
iconv -f gb2312 -t utf-8 \
< list-simp-char.gb23 \
> list-simp-char.utf-8.roundtrip
Attached you can find the diff file between list-simp-char.utf8 and
list-simp-char.utf8.roundtrip. It's easy to see that there are a
great bunch of simplified characters not in GB 2312. All of them
can't be printed out with the simplified Arphic fonts.
However, some of the simplified forms are in Big 5, but I think it's
too cumbersome to fix that manually. You should rather use one of the
freely available GB 18030 fonts for both the simplified and
traditional forms.
