Indeed, I can confirm that nearly all of the characters in that diff are
included in UMing (TW, TW MBE, CN, HK), and many of them in UKai as well.
I used xCJK to do the job:
\setCJKfamilyfont{AR PL UMing TW}{AR PL UMing TW}
\CJKfamily{AR PL UMing TW}
