and not to mention the fact that it looks as if you can send $200 deposit
and pretty much get a pup.......wow, and it took me like 6 months to find
Baker......and many, many, many phone conversations and refferals.....and to think all i had to do was send 200 and i woulda had a pup for less than 1/2 price! UGHHGHHH! disgusting! from the ad " These puppies will be on a first to put down a deposit of $200.00 that is non-refundable. Those that pay the deposit will get to pick in the following order 5th-6th-Thanks for Looking! " guess they dont care where the pups end up.......... makes me appreciate breeders like all of you more!! mary -----Original Message----- From: The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Susan Cochran Sent: Friday, May 24, 2002 6:50 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [CKCS-L] who not to sell to-better example The purple border on the AKC registration means that the mom was sold with full registration as far as the AKC papers are concerned. I suspect that the male used was a restricted one as that would explain no papers on the puppies. I don't believe the spin about selling with no papers to keep the cost down. AKC litter registration is a little over $25 for the litter plus $2 per puppy. Having the registration papers would mean at least $400 more per puppy. The spin about the papers and cost is nonsense. I don't know anyone who would baulk at paying for registrations when it made that much difference in the income from the litter. Much more likely that she used a restricted stud.
