Hi Carolyn,
Unless you see her in actual distress, try and not worry. If her temp drops
98 or below and it stays there, then I would watch and see if she is doing
any straining , with no results. If so , I would then see about giving a
pit shot, then if nothing I would concider a possible c-section. I worry
about doing c-sections without seeing a bitch really ready to go into real
labor as a vet c-sectioned a Frenchie of mine years ago and the whole litter
died one by one throughout the night. She miscalculated based on a
progestrone reading and the pups were delivered to early. It broke my heart.
I am extremely cautious now. I am sure you are not letting her out of your
sight..I would just keep taking temp, keep her comfortable as possible and
have your car key ready. Also recheck all your dates re: breeding times, as
long as she doesn't go past the viable time for healthy pups. Gosh, I know
how nerve racking this must be for you. You are all in my prayers. I wish I
was there and could be of some help. even if it was just walking the floor
for you.
    Reguards,
       Joy
