Oops I meant to write potassium permanganate. It is a purplish crystal granule. It is used to treat aquariums and ponds and also sold at the drug store but for what purpose escapes me at the moment. When sprayed or brushed on to the coat it will be a shade of fuschia but dries to a shade of red depending on how much water is used to dilute it.
