I'm not sure what "they" you're referring to, whether it be Sun or the
Jakarta people, but I'm supposing you mean Sun. Once Sun has released
the code and it is re-released under the Apache license then why
wouldn't the Jakarta project welcome your javax.servlet classes into
the project? If Sun should later decide they prefer not to have some
free software replacements getting lots of good usage and they want to
then also include javax.servlet that sounds like a win for us. The
release of the software can't possibly be tied to some sort of
contract since we're talking about the release of this Sun stuff under
a _real_ free software license.
Regardless, it sounds like your paper work has gone through and you
should be able to add your code to our repository as soon as you have
the account to do so. That's great.
