Chris,
We are trying to push the product team to get a fix for the Mac agent
high CPU issue. The problem is that there are still only 2 cases
attached to the defect. We need more justification to prove how many
customers are frustrated at this.
If you have a case on this, please make sure that you have your TAC
engineer attach the case to bug CSCsl98060.

We also choose to no longer leave the auto update on as it is really an
auto "Break everything and ruin your day" feature.
I am getting ready to suggest that we list selected AVs and other
elements that we will support excluding all the others that are possible
in an effort to reduce the frustration. And don't get me started about
the MAC client and how the new agent pegs the processor in Leopard. My
Mac users won't let me forget it.
I think we all should expect more from Cisco on this product as I have 3
TAC cases open from the 4.1.3 update and there seem to be no traction on
them as if Cisco is completely clueless as to what to do.
Thanks
Chris

Hi Bruce
Everything that depends on the agent version. I guess that means (from
the
release notes):
Clean Access Server and WSUS Interaction Enhancement
Agent Restricted User Access Enhancement
Supported AV/AS Product List Enhancements (Version 67)
Clean Access Agent Auto Remediation
Windows Vista Agent Enhancements
64-bit Windows Operating System Agent Support
Delay Agent Logoff on CAM/CAS
Windows Agent Localization Support
This has badly shaken my confidence in CCA - automatic updating of the
agent
version on the server is now off here, and will be staying that way
Regards
Max

Max or Prem,
What features of 4.1.3 are lost by using the 4.1.2.1
(Windows) & 4.1.2.0
(Macintosh) agents with 4.1.3 CAM/CAS?
We are currently running 4.1.1 with the Guest login patch & 4.1.2.1
agent.

Don't run the 4.1.3 agent. Locking up while evaluating
reqirements is a
known bug in it. We are still running it on the CAS/CAM, but
we replaced
the
agent with the older one. Rather to my surprise, the CAM
didn't object.
You
also have to stop the CAM from automatically picking up the
new version
from
Cisco

I have a computer running XP and Norton 2008. After logging
into Clean
Access the process never gets past the "Validating
requirements" step.
CCA is not locked up but never finishes. Any suggestions?
Thanks
