We're still running 4.1.1 with 4.1.3.1 agent, seems stable. The starting of the Agent login dialogue box is slow on my Vista Test machine (several minutes), but no noticeable difference with XP. I haven't made that leap to the Mac client and not inclined to be in any hurry. Agent is required (with mandatory patch upgrade checked) in Residence halls, optional with wireless. May have to look at backing out of Agent and turning off automatic update as well?
CCA has been very good for our residence halls and serves a purpose on wireless. IMHO they do a pretty good job considering how fast technology changes which they have no control over. The Cisco guys on this list have been very responsive and helpful. That's good advice to be slow and deliberate... Just my .02 cents. We've not noticed it for two reasons: The history of issues on this list has convinced us of the wisdom of our laziness, to wit: 1) We're still running 3.5.11 2) We never required use of the agent And I'm actively researching alternatives to Cisco NAC, based on the Mac agent issues, and all the general sluggishness of response shown by Cisco to issues mentioned on this list. We're pretty early adopters of many things, but recent history of this product hasn't been very inspirational. -- Regards, -- Cal Frye, Network Administrator, Oberlin College www.calfrye.com, www.pitalabs.com "This space intentionally left blank.
