Hi Daniel,

The license doesn't have a expiration date for Clean Access, its permanent, so you won't lose any functionality that you currently have on your existing system, you just won't be able to upgrade to 4.5.

You should still be able to get all the checks and rules updates.

Greetings,

Because of budget constraints and Cisco’s move to forcing us off of our paid-for Dell hardware to Cisco devices our CCA license is about to run out. We can’t afford to upgrade to the Cisco solution and switching to another vendor is just as expensive (if not more, Still Secure comes in dead-even with the Cisco upgrade cost). What happens when the license runs out? I’m sure all the ‘pr_’ rules will quit updating, but will the college be able to craft manual rules or will the system fail closed (happened once to us around the Perfigo switchover)?

Side note: Thank you to all of you on this list that have helped me so much over the years. This is my last week at Mary Baldwin College and this list has saved my bacon so many times in the past! I’m getting a job in the “real world” for actual money!

Thanks,
