According to information week, Windows 7 is now available to business clients.

Cisco has got to get this done. We can't always be so far behind, especially
when it comes to the security of our networks.

I'm running it on my RTM copy of Windows 7 right now. I would assume the 4.5
version runs as well, however the newly redesigned 4.6+ agent does not work at
all.

That is very disappointing to hear that they don't expect the product to fully
support it until 2010, considering the great lengths Microsoft went to make
sure access to the beta and release candidate was open to anyone. Considering
Cisco's stature, I'm sure they had access to all of the development builds in
between. Even the first public beta of Windows 7 was stable enough to begin
testing and there seems like there should be little reason why Cisco NAC
shouldn't fully support this new operating system within a few days of it being
released to the public in October.

In a business environment, it's probably not an issue since most companies
won't be upgrading straight away. But considering the amount of education users
and where this product started, you'd think they'd have figured out they need
to be a step ahead of the game by now.

But that would require them to take this product seriously again.

What are your plans for handling Windows 7 users? According to the TAC
person who answered our question about the timing of Windows 7 support,
we were told

Not what I was hoping to hear, obviously. I'm predicting dozens if not
more students who will be running the beta or release candidate version
when they arrive here next month.
