Greg,

We have had the same symptoms on several computers on our Resnet and in each
case the computer had the full McAfee security suite installed and it
appeared to be the McAfee firewall that was blocking the launch of the clean
access agent. You said you found no firewalls so maybe this is not the
solution, but something to look for.
