So, considering that the first and second attempts were essentially the same, I'm surprised that there were more failures in glibc tests (-m64) on the first than on the second attempt. The third attempt has now completed both versions of glibc, and to my enormous surprise both of them only failed on annexc.out. In other words, provided this build manages to complete e2fsprogs (estimate 11pm tonight BST) then the toolchain tests for ppc64 should now all be good. Of course, the fact that my 'bash-3.1: no such file' error didn't show up makes me think that my earlier report of this on -m64 builds is bogus, there was probably something strange in my temporary bash. At least I'm used to making bogus bug reports! If I had time, I'd rebuild x86_64-64, but I'm going to be away from the middle of next week, and I don't think I'll be able to fit it in before I go.
