Thanks Martin. I am going to build a pure64 system with gcc 4.7 and
this will get it started. I'm sure in the near future we'll be using
what you have contributed to update the current git book to gcc 4.7
among other things. Some of what you have done is familiar from doing
experimental builds already, but they weren't pure64.
