(set! *print-meta* true)
(pr-str (with-meta {} {:type :foo}))
>> "{}"
(pr-str (with-meta {} {:class :foo}))
>> "^{:class :foo} {}"

Is that how it's supposed to be?

I find that behavior weird and troublesome for those wanting to use the
:type key when serializing data (like me).
