I have no idea, but in following the thread, are you running GNU/Linux on
your PC that you are booting with the disc? I didn't see it listed, and
apologies if you did state the OS.
In case you do have a Linux OS on your local hard drive (not NAS), can you
wipe the drive so that the live CD doesn't try to automount?
A full wipe wouldn't be necessary - just enough to wipe the MBR and any
partition table info.
