Hello,
It is looking great so far, however .... maybe a little to much red.
How about either some different shades of red ? or just some more colour ?

Anyone who would like to check out the new CLUG website, and/or take part in
creating content for it, can see it in action at the following URL:
http://www.clug.ca/drupal
Once it becomes more stable (and the remaining content is migrated), it'll be
moved up one directory level and replace the current site (we'll keep a
backup of the current site, just in case... ). So far, all the content from
the current site has been migrated except the executive contact
functionality, and the book reviews which are in progress.
ANYONE can sign up for an account on the site. Once you do so, you become
what is known as a Authenticated or Tier 1 user for the site. If you are a
Tier 2 member, email me when you have signed up, and I'll move your account
to the Tier 2 level.
A quick break down of the different access levels:
ANONYMOUS (anyone who hasn't logged in) - Can view any of the public parts of
the website. There are no "private" parts of the site at this time.
AUTHENTICATED / TIER 1 users - same as unauthenticated, but can add comments
to various postings, and can also post book reviews.
TIER 2 users - Same as Tier 1 users, but can also post events, pages, and
maintain a personal blog (very much encouraged).
There are two other levels of users, but these are very specialized cases.
The first is for the Executive, and basically distributes the site
administration tasks to the executive members. The other is for developers,
and grants some other choices to creating content (i.e. they can use PHP).
The site is a work in progress (what web site isn't?). The navigation needs
to be revised a little, and there are some quirks to be worked out yet.
However, it is stable enough for us to get some feedback from our members.
So, take a look at the site, and let us know what you think.
I've created a quick guide to creating content
(http://www.clug.ca/drupal/node/69) that might help out. I'm hoping that our
members can be the driving force behind the website content now.. :) With
some guidance from Big Brother of course... <grins>.
