Like John, I'm using a Canon - the CanoScan LiDE 25 model. Works out of
the box. My only complaint is that it seems to only support 16 bit
color (according to Quite Xsane at least). I'd rather see 24 or 32 bit,
but it is sufficient for my sporadic needs.
