Hi Alexis,

You can develop a mutation that makes your leukemia cells less 
sensitive to Gleevec.....and then a higher dose is sometimes an 
effective treatement change. 

If you just joined the list, I would encourage you to go back to the 
beginning of December (you can read old posts from the website) and 
look for the posts from Cheryl-Anne and Mark with reports from the 
annual ASH (Amer. Society of Hematologists) conference. There are some 
good summaries about all this information...all the latest findings. 

Also, you can find a lot of information, about side effects and 
remedies, etc. on this website of one of our listmembers:

this is a good starting place to get lots of info about cml and 
Gleevec treatment.
