As the others have mentioned, doesn't seem like your test results are
that bad.  I suspect that you don't need a BMT, but if it turned out
that you do, make sure that you go to one of the few BMT centers that
specializes in seniors (you said you were on Medicare).  I'm treated at
City of Hope which is the 2nd largest BMT center in the country and
routinely does BMTs on patients in their 70s.  Is your Emory Dr. truly
a specialist in CML treatment?  From your desciption it doesn't sound
like it.  I would certainly look for alternatives, and I should think
you would be able to find someone in the Atlanta area.  If you contact
the CML experts at OHSU or MDCC, I'm sure that they can give you a
referral.  The community of physicians that specialize in CML is
relatively small and these guys/gals know one another.
