Hi Jeanie: Thanks for your response. I know that we're all fighting this
thing as hard as we can and it's good to know that other people have similar
problems. Just hearing that helps me. I think that you hit the nail on the
head, as my brain never shuts down. My husband can close his eyes at any time
and go to sleep....no problem. I have so much running around in my head that I
can't shut down. I really don't know how to deal with that as it's in our
nature I guess. I do appreciate reading everything you write. I also have
problems with the dry lips and didn't figure it out until you all started
talking about it. I must run and get bag balm and try it. I have used it in
the past for one of my children. It worked for diaper rash on one of the boys.
You take care and just remember how much you are helping others by just
telling us what's going on with you.

Best of luck with your fight. I'm 69 and not planning on giving up any time
soon.
Millie

  Hi Millie,
Sorry to hear about your problems.
It seems when one thing clears up, up pops something else.
I tried all the new drugs for sleep; no luck.
The best one I found is called Restol.
But I'm afraid I'll get hooked on it so I don't take it that much.
I had a bad night last night; just couldn't get to sleep; I read before I
sleep, but I don't think that is the problem. It feels like my brain won't turn
off.
I wonder if that's the Gleevec also.
I hope you can manage your pain; that's a biggie.
  Blessings,
  Jeanie<3

Hi.....I have such trouble sleeping and like you, nothing seems to work for
me. I wish I could find something that would help me sleep, but have tried so
many and I'm on so many medications that I hate to keep adding more. The
doctor just put me back on Prednizone as my Sed rate was to high. I hate this
as it puts on weight, but it is helping my aching muscles some. I go to pain
management, but no one has hit on why I'm having the muscle problems. Between
that and the Arthritis, I'm a mess, but keep on smiling as it's all I can do.
I'm on Tasigna now, and for the most part having fewer side effects then I was
having on Gleevec. The muscle problems could be from that though, who knows?
I will keep on trying, so far so good.

    Millie
