I saw the Pain Management Doctor last Friday, he suggested doing one of
the Epidural Injections into the L-5 which he said is worse than the 3 & 4
which are also bulging/protruding. I was very nervous, but he was in and
out within 5 minutes and there was some pain, but not as bad as I thought
it would be. Afterwards, I was totally pain free, but it was back within
about 4 hours, just not as bad. I would say we've eliminated about 50% of
the pain. I am sure he will do another when I go back and probably one
after that. They've told me that sometimes it takes a round of 3. If this
doesn't work, then not sure where we will go from here. Now, just got to
get up and out and get to walking again and build up my strength. Seems
like it is always an uphill battle, isn't it.
