Well, UML is one thing, there the "presentation" is actual the content itself. But I still can't see an application where it wouldn't do just to be able to preview your writings visually, I mean content needs to conform to some standard most often, if the headlines look different for each article how does that look? > It's easier to sell because it's what customer's want and most probably > need at the moment. Can I sell something to you that you do not want > (well if you need or not is another matter)? Do they want it or don't they know any alternatives? If you sat down and properly explained the advantages both in terms of saving time & money as well as future potential I think most customers would chose it, I see no reason not to. > Can you look to yourself and your work area? We humans to not need it or want it! We are visual! (That is > our freedom) Hey, when you look in the real world at an apple, do you think "an apple" or do you think "a red round glossy thing with a pin sticking out of it"? Humans labels things for simplification, in contrast, what gives the most information: <headline>XML rocks</headline> or <div style="font:family:bold;color:black;font-size:16px">XML Rocks</div> and what do you propose you do when you need to present it in written format, or on a mobilephone, or on an really old browser? Manage completely separate versions of the content? Heck it's not just a matter of presentation either but also about *behavior* a link might act totally different under different media's and if you're blind you need information presented you in a completely different manner best regards --- Mattias Konradsson -- http://cms-list.org/ trim your replies for good karma.
