Our yard just has a per square foot charge for 'on the hard' storage and a fixed fee for the 'season' in the water. You go in and out when you are ready and so are they. I have had in the water storage in the winter (once with mast up and twice under a roof with mast down). Go in sometime in mid to late April and out in November. The racing season starts the first week of May and ends up in late October. We used to have to pull the mast for storage on the hard, but about five years ago, they dropped that. This year it came out in late November and was shrink wrapped - we will take the cover off in April, do the bottom and touch up the Poly Glow and launch when they get the three boats that are in our way done.
