To add to the mix, any Atomic-4 powered boat is running a 1:1 pulley ratio. This results in a max of around 60-80 amps even if you add a 500 amp alternator and no charging at all at idle. One project I have on the back burner is fabbing a bracket to run off a crank pulley and get a better ratio. Adding solar kind of put that back a bit – amazing how much good even 25 watts does.
