My son has a 40hp "Go Devil" that he uses on his 16' jon boat for duck hunting. He actually has jumped over sand bars with it. It'll push through the marsh at low tide in bare inches of water. Meanwhile, I'm puttering along in my 10' sneakbox with a 4 hp Yamaha. But I know where the channels are when he gets hung up!

Those things are used as water taxies IIRC. In North America I have seen them called something like “mud devils”.
